Cheltenham Animal Shelter is appreciative of Battersea Dogs Home and Panorama for highlighting the sad truth about the many thousands of unwanted dogs in the U.K. The hard hitting programme that aired on Monday 2nd August showed the shocking amount of dogs that have to be killed each and every year simply because there are not enough homes for them. Battersea Dogs Home released their euthanasia figures that have shocked animal lovers across the country. They reported that a third of the dogs that come into their care are destroyed.
